This paper presents the first results of the MMS (Mobile Mapping System) survey on the geometry of the A20 italian motorway Messina-Palermo. The layout parameters are the essential data for an effective management of a single or a road network. The widespread availability of Continuosly Operating Reference Station (CORS) all over the world, allows to improve more scientific and technical studies on the use of satellite positioning techniques. The aim of this paper is to understand the effects of a GNSS CORS network geometry and differential corrections on the solutions. This work is an example of survey for the map update and run with handheld GNSS and differential corrections data through the network of permanent stations. This case study is about urban drainage systems and lighting subnets within a limited area of the town of Roccamena, Italy. The survey has the primary target the planning of engineering data needed to implement a GIS, the study was performed as mode NRTK with correction VRS, affected, in particular, the wells of public lighting, the wells of white water and sanitation, in addition to the drains around the town, on a total area of approximately 33 square kilometers. La sperimentazione descritta nel presente lavoro riguarda l’esecuzione di numerose misure all’interno di una vasta zona del territorio siciliano racchiusa all’interno della rete di otto stazioni permanenti GNSS ubicate nella Sicilia centro occidentale, ed in particolare nelle province di Palermo e Trapani. In particolare lo studio ha riguardato la definizione di una procedura necessaria per ottenere la ripetibilità delle misure su punti di coordinate note. In questo lavoro, si riporta una sperimentazione ancora in corso di approfondimento, inerente la realizzazione di un’applicazione software, Meridiana Interrogazioni Temporali, che possa analizzare con continuità i messaggi inviati attraverso posta elettronica all’Amministratore della Rete di Stazioni Permanenti GNSS. L’archivio sfrutta i messaggi trasmessi da uno dei server della infrastruttura geodetica (che raccoglie i dati per il postprocessamento), nel periodo temporale che va dal 2007 al 2009, con riferimento alle segnalazioni relative alla Rete di Stazioni Permanenti realizzata in Sicilia e gestita dall’Università di Palermo, nell’ambito di programmi di rilevante interesse nazionale. …
